Carmel snapped a 18 year losing streak against Lawrence North with a 77-45 win. Stuart Douglass led all scorers with 21 points on 7 of 18 (5-12 3pt) shooting.
“We knew we had to jump out early, and we’ve been good about that this year,” said Douglass, a Michigan recruit who made three 3-pointers in the first quarter and finished 5-of-12 from long range. “We were ready, and we knew what we had to do.”
Much of that has to do with chemistry, which all three standouts described as something special.
“It’s the best I’ve ever seen on a high school basketball team,” Douglass said. “Everyone takes their responsibilities and gets their job done.”
