I’m pleased to introduce another new feature for the upcoming season, this one is a collaboration with David Merritt. Merritt, best known for his play on Michigan’s 2009 team, is currently running his own company and providing radio color commentary during Michigan games. We’ve brought Merritt on board to provide unique insights on the Michigan basketball program from a slightly different angle. Merritt will provide commentary, updates from the road, and more as he covers each game. Here’s a brief intro from Merritt himself. – Dylan
Hello everyone. I’m pretty excited about this new section and collaboration with UMHoops.com! After working together a little bit last year, mostly conducting a few question/answer interviews, Dylan and I decided that we should expand our efforts. This year we are bringing you “To The Point” – which will kind of be my personal section and viewpoint covering Michigan Basketball throughout the 2010-2011 season. Don’t worry, I won’t bore you! As I travel with the team while fulfilling my color commentary radio duties, I’ll be posting cool features, blogs and videos. And check this out, we are also going to be doing live post game chats with YOU after games. Exciting eh? So all in all, I look forward to getting to know the readers and visitors out there because we are going to be asking you to help create some of the content. Trust me, this is going to be fun. David Merritt is a former Michigan basketball captain and played on the 2008-2009 NCAA Tournament Team. David is also the founder of I Miss You, Inc. & The IMU Brand, an apparel company focused on offering high quality product while spreading happiness and bettering communities.
