For the last two weeks, Eli Brooks has practiced on the scout team.
But what seems like a demotion on paper has been instrumental to revitalizing his confidence.
“He’s been playing everybody,” said John Beilein. “We decided to go with him as a scout teamer that could give us what we needed from the different people that we had, whether it was Cassius Winston, whether it was the Maryland guard, Cowan.
“But in the midst of all that, he was getting buckets every day. We’re saying, ‘Why aren’t you doing this in the game?’ He just needed that confidence to get that stuff going.”
