Big Ten announces 2019-20 conference opponents

The Big Ten will move to a 20-game conference schedule next season and it announced the league matchups today.

The Big Ten announced the home and away opponent matchups for the 2019-20 schedule today.

Michigan will play Indiana, Penn State and Wisconsin at home only with single-play road games at Maryland, Minnesota and Northwestern

That leaves Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue and Rutgers as double plays.

Every Big Ten team will play seven opponents twice and six opponents once. Dates and times for all matchups will be announced at a later date.

    They added protected rivalries last year, yes. But only three:

    Illinois-Northwestern, Michigan-Michigan state, Purdue-Indiana

    This is a pretty favorable schedule for Michigan. All three “road only” matchups are very winnable.

    I just hope our away game with Sparty is NOT on their Senior night next year.
