Juwan Howard extended a scholarship offer to five-star forward Paolo Banchero today.
Banchero is the No. 3 ranked prospect in the 2021 class and announced that he would add Michigan to his previously announced list of nine. Banchero’s other finalists are Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Duke, Georgetown, Baylor, Memphis, Washington and Gonzaga.

Banchero is a native of Seattle and Washington was considered an early favorite in his recruitment, but he’s seriously looking at other options. The 6-foot-9 forward has scheduled official visits to North Carolina (Sep. 27), Kentucky (Oct. 11), Duke (Oct. 17), Tennessee (Oct. 25) and Gonzaga (Jan. 18) this fall and winter.
Banchero averaged 23 points and 11 rebounds per game with Seattle Rotary on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer. Here’s a look at him in action throughout the grassroots season.
