What are the chances of filling the 13th/last scholarship with an international guard? Has this option been explored in any way or Juwan doesnt look to recruit overseas players at all? Does Michigan has some sort of structure in place to look and evaluate international prospects? Thanks

If you get to choose, who would your Big Ten 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams be for the decade?

In the similar vein of the Big Ten all decade team, what Michigan players would you pick from the past decade to form an 8 man rotation to compete in college basketball today? Let’s say 3 guards, 3 wings, and 2 bigs.

Why doesn’t Michigan have a team in “The Basketball Tournament” and if you had to put together a team of likely available former Beilein players that fit the tournament’s profile who would you choose for a starting lineup?

I do think there’s a bit of an untapped international market at play and some schools are doing a good job of exploiting it at different levels. It seems that international kids are more apt to play D1 basketball of late. Arizona is one that stands out who has shifted its recruiting to an international focus quite a bit.

I don’t know of any sort of structure in place at Michigan to evaluate internationals. I would assume that any contact would come in the form of word of mouth, maybe some kind of scouting service. Overall, I haven’t seen anything to make me think that it is necessarily a priority for U-M to try to recruit internationally.

It’s an interesting question because I do think there are opportunities there, but very few colleges have the money to really scout internationally.
