2020-21 Season

What I know and what I want to know about Michigan basketball in 2020-21

Michigan’s first basketball game of 2020-21 is just days away.

The steady presence of Zavier Simpson and Jon Teske is gone, and this season promises to provide an even greater assessment of Juwan Howard as a coach. He’s proven he can win games, but we’ll learn more about how he wants to build a team, a system, and a scheme in his second season.

We barely receive meaningful access to asses the Wolverines in normal times, and this year’s pandemic-impacted offseason has left even fewer opportunities to evaluate U-M. The last time we saw this team live was before the world locked down due to the coronavirus. Anything that we think we know right now is closer to a guess, but this is always a fun exercise to assess Michigan’s season outlook before the year begins.
