Three weeks ago, Michigan and Ohio State played the best regular-season game of the Big Ten season in Columbus. The back and forth shootout ended in a 92-87 Michigan victory. The Wolverines, who said Juwan Howard motivated them with a video of Ohio State dancing in their locker room last year, were seen on social media doing plenty of their own dancing deep in Value City Arena after the win.
No one is pretending that Michigan-Ohio State has the same juice that it has on the gridiron, but Saturday’s rematch should bring plenty of fireworks.
These are two of the five best offenses in college hoops, finally with a chance to play in front of a handful of fans, on a national stage. Saturday’s matchup (1:00 p.m., CBS) is one reason why everyone involved with college basketball has sacrificed so much to get to this point.
