Tony Natoci is back this year to provide regular bracket updates as we lead up to the NCAA Tournament. Natoci, who was one of only three bracketologists to correctly predict all 68 teams in last year’s field, publishes his own bracket at Heartbreak City and will outline where Michigan stands in current bracketology models, both in his own bracket and notable national brackets, along with updates and insights about the process, key bubble games to watch, and more.
On the court, Michigan’s tournament stock has continued to improve over its last three games. 2-1 is progress on the bubble. 2-1 has opened up just a bit of breathing room between Michigan and the current bubble cutline. Go 2-1 a couple more times and the Wolverines will settle comfortably in the NCAA Tournament field. Off the court, though (or at least outside the lines) this past week has been a bit of a disaster. I’ll try to unpack last Sunday’s postgame scrum from a bracketology perspective later in the column, but for now, let’s stick to the numbers.
Here’s everything you need to know about where Michigan currently sits on the bubble, what it needs to do to make the NCAA Tournament and every other scenario you could dream up.
