I don’t know why but I’m really excited for Brandon Johns’ senior day. Can’t help root for the kid despite (or maybe because of?) how frustrating his time at Michigan has been. I guess I kind of identify with him to a certain extent, somebody so trapped in their own head their anxieties compound into a giant obstacle because of how hard they wish to get over them.
When Phil Martelli said Brandon’s told him he’s never wanted to be anywhere else, I imagined that he’s also one of those guys whose content with what he’s had so far. He gets to graduate with a degree, and he might even play professionally abroad somewhere, who knows? Just want to see him go out with one more good performance.
