Michigan’s coaching staff has been active in the transfer portal since the season concluded. The Wolverines have been linked with a number of different transfers although the 2022-23 roster is still uncertain. Technically, the Wolverines don’t have any scholarships available if its full allotment of scholarship players return next year. In reality, the Wolverines will potentially have to make multiple additions to fill the gaps left by attrition.
The uncertainty makes it difficult to evaluate the top priorities in the portal because needs will shift based on attrition, but here’s a rundown of notable players that U-M has been linked with or mentioned by this offseason, along with a closer look at how their games would fit in Ann Arbor, recent film and where things stand in their recruitments.
