Michigan’s roster took another turn over the weekend as Princeton guard Jaelin Llewellyn committed to the Wolverines, and freshman guard Frankie Collins entered the transfer portal. Sunday at 11:59 p.m. was the official deadline for players to notify their schools of their intent to transfer, but those schools still have two days to enter their information into the portal. A few more names across the country should appear in the portal over the next 48 hours, but then new names should slow down (barring waivers).
Now the attention shifts to the NBA Draft process where players testing the waters have until June 1st — ten days after the NBA Draft Combine — to withdraw from the draft. Invitations to both the combine and the G-League Elite Camp were sent out over the weekend and should be reported throughout this week. Both of Michigan’s early entries, Caleb Houstan and Moussa Diabate, are likely on the combine bubble.
Here are five thoughts on Michigan’s latest roster moves, what comes next and what else the Wolverines need to do to improve their roster this offseason.
