Michigan opens the 2023-24 basketball season on Tuesday evening against UNC Asheville, ending a tumultuous offseason and starting a new chapter. It’s tough to know what to expect from this Wolverine program that underachieved last year and saw significant roster turnover via the NBA Draft and transfer portal.
There are new faces, roster makeup questions, and uncertainty on the bench, but college basketball is back. Regardless of that uncertainty, it’s time for an annual tradition: my best take at what I (think I) know about Michigan basketball this season and what I want to know about Michigan basketball this season.
