Michigan point guard Dug McDaniel is set to return to action on the road this week, per Juwan Howard.
“Dug is making good progress and has done what we’ve asked him to do to this point,” Howard said in a statement. “With that being said, he will be rejoining the team on the road. We have appreciated his efforts and those who have been supporting him.”
McDaniel was suspended due to academics for the previous six road games. Michigan went 0-6 in those games and was outscored by an average of 20.2 points per game.
The Wolverines have two road games remaining –Rutgers on Thursday and Ohio State on Sunday — and both are during spring break on campus.
McDaniel averages 16.7 points, 4.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game for the Wolverines.
