2024-25 Season

Five takeaways from Michigan’s win at UCLA

Michigan picked up its best win of the season on Tuesday night, knocking off UCLA 94-75 at Pauley Pavilion. The Wolverines moved to 4-0 in the league and rode a dominant 36-point performance from Vlad Goldin to the victory.

Here are five takeaways from the win featuring players and topics other than the dominant 7-foot-1 man in the middle.

1. Michigan is in position to contend for a Big Ten title

We aren’t even a quarter of the way through the Big Ten season, but Michigan’s 2-0 trip to Los Angeles puts them in the thick of the Big Ten race. The Wolverines are 4-0 but, more importantly, already have three road wins. That means 9 of their remaining 16 league games are at the Crisler Center.
