Michigan added a commitment from 6-foot-6 wing Patrick “Ricky” Liburd today, he announced on Instagram.
Liburd decommitted from Coastal Carolina on May 7th. After decommitting, he tells UM Hoops that he picked Michigan over Florida State.
The 6-foot-6 wing played at Sagemont Prep in Florida, where he helped his program to back-to-back state titles. He finished with 29 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three blocks in the state title game this year.
As a senior, Liburd averaged 16.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, shooting 49% from three-point range on 59 attempts. He missed a month of the season with a dislocated knuckle on his shooting hand, but had a breakout performance during Sagemont’s run through the state playoffs.
He played with SOH Elite on the Under Armour Circuit last summer, averaging 9.7 points per game.
Here’s footage of him in action on the grassroots circuit.
Liburd joins Trey McKenney and Winters Grady in Michigan’s incoming 2025 recruiting class. Stay tuned to UM Hoops for more on this addition.
