FIBA Bullets: Morez Johnson Jr., Oscar Goodman open FIBA U19 World Cup with wins

The 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup tipped off today in Switzerland, and both Michigan players opened the event with victories.

Incoming transfer big man Morez Johnson Jr. posted a double-double off the bench in an opening group stage win for Team USA. The Americans knocked off Australia, 88-73, and Johnson finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks, and two steals in 26 minutes.

Redshirt freshman Oscar Goodman posted 9 points and three rebounds in 20 minutes in New Zealand’s 77-72 win over Argentina.

UM Hoops watched both games and has all of the stats, clips, scouting thoughts, and takeaways from the opening day action. Here’s the first edition of FIBA Bullets tracking both players during the international event.
