Michigan added a surprise commitment from Danish big man Marcus Moller Engelhardt on Tuesday afternoon.
The 7-foot-3 big man visited Michigan two weeks ago and then announced his commitment before the July evaluation period tipped off this weekend. Moller picked Michigan after visiting Oklahoma State, SMU, and Colorado State this spring.
Moller turns 19 in December and is expected to join Michigan in the 2026-27 season. He’s the first commitment in Michigan’s 2026 class, and yet another big man in the fold for Dusty May.
Here’s a deep dive into Moller’s game, his backstory, his film, and what Michigan is getting in its first commitment.
Background
Moller plays his club basketball in the fourth tier of Spanish basketball (Tercera FEB) with Unicaja Malaga. He averaged 15.9 points and 6.9 rebounds in 29.3 minutes per game in Spain. Shooting 55.1% on twos and 39.4% on threes (22-of-56) in 17 games.
