2025-26 Season

Five takeaways from first look at revamped Michigan roster

Assembled media got their first look at Michigan’s 2025-26 roster on Sunday when Dusty May opened the doors to the Player Development Center for a sneak peek.

Michigan is about halfway through its offseason workouts, but it’s finally close to having a complete group. Morez Johnson Jr. and Oscar Goodman were away with national team duty at the FIBA U19 World Cup, and Aday Mara just arrived recently from Spain.

At this point, everyone but German big man Malick Kordel — who is expected “very soon” — was in the building on Sunday (Goodman was limited to non-contact as he recovers from an ankle injury suffered in FIBA play), which provided an early glimpse of the talent on the roster, but also the flexibility.

Here are five takeaways from the first look at this Michigan team on the floor.
