Michigan formally announced its 2025-26 non-conference schedule this afternoon.
The non-conference slate is highlighted by a February clash with Duke in Washington D.C. on February 21st.
The other highlight event is the Players’ Era Festival in Las Vegas. The three-game event promises large NIL rewards for participants and Michigan will face San Diego State and Auburn in its first two contests in Vegas. The results of the opening round games will decide the final matchup on Wednesday or Thursday of Thanksgiving week.
The Wolverines will also host Villanova in December and play at TCU in November. The return leg against Wake Forest, whom the Wolverines lost to last year in Greensboro, will be played at Little Caesars Arena on November 11th.
The Wolverines open the year against in-state foes Oakland, a team that should be competitive in the Horizon League this season. The Wolverines also have buy games against Middle Tennessee and McNeese, two programs that finished in the top-150 nationally on KenPom last year.
Here’s the full non-conference slate:
- Monday, Nov. 3: Oakland (Crisler Center)
- Tuesday, Nov. 11: vs. Wake Forest (Detroit, Mich.)
- Friday, Nov. 14: at TCU (Fort Worth, Texas)
- Wednesday, Nov. 19: Middle Tennessee (Crisler Center)
- Monday, Nov. 24: vs. San Diego State (Las Vegas, Nev.)
- Tuesday, Nov. 25: vs. Auburn (Las Vegas, Nev.)
- Wednesday or Thursday, Nov. 26 or 27: vs. TBD (Las Vegas, Nev.)
- Tuesday, Dec. 9: Villanova (Crisler Center)
- Sunday, Dec. 21: LaSalle (Crisler Center)
- Monday, Dec. 29: McNeese (Crisler Center)
- Saturday, Feb. 21: vs. Duke (Washington, D.C.)
Big Ten schedules are expected to be announced at a later date but matchups have been announced.
The Wolverines play twice against Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State. They’ll host Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Rutgers, UCLA, USC and Wisconsin. They’ll play at Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue and Washington.

So, MTSU was the last game. Finished 119th on KenPom last year and 148th in preseason Torvik. Quality buy game similar to McNeese.

Playing in a big boy 3-game MTE instead of that Fort Myers Mickey Mouse nonsense will do that.

Generally should be a very good schedule. I go back and forth on the February thing as far as whether I like it or not.
