The class of 2026 has been slow-moving with uncertainty surrounding NIL, revenue sharing and the transfer portal, but things are starting to heat up. Top prospects are beginning to come off the board, and official visit season is humming along.
The Wolverines hosted five-star wing Anthony Thompson for an official visit last weekend and will now host four-star wings Luca Foster and Quinn Costello, marking one of the most critical recruiting weekends of the year.
Michigan’s 2026 recruiting board isn’t overflowing with names, and this crop of visits could be some of the best opportunities for Michigan to land impact pieces in the class.
The one thing that stands out about the top prospects on Michigan’s board is that they fit naturally into what the Wolverines are set to lose on the wing after this season. The Wolverines are recruiting a crop of versatile and interchangeable wings and forwards who could replace Nimari Burnett, Roddy Gayle Jr., Will Tschetter, and Yaxel Lendeborg, all of whom are in their final year of eligibility.
