Michigan returns home for the first time since its season opener against Oakland for one final tune-up before heading to Las Vegas next week for the Players Era Festival.
The Wolverines will host the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (6:30 p.m., BTN) on Wednesday night in what could be a tricky buy game. The Raiders enter the game ranked 146th per KenPom and could be a tough scout, having only played one game against a Division I team so far this season (a 5-point win at Evansville).
Nick McDevitt and Middle Tennessee are one of Dusty May’s old conference rivals from his time at Florida Atlantic. They were one of just three teams to beat the Owls during the regular season of FAU’s Final Four season in 2022-23, and have turned into a consistent upper-half Conference USA squad.
The Blue Raiders don’t return their top players from last year’s roster, but they do have some key returning pieces and a handful of intriguing transfer portal additions to build around this season, and were picked to finish 4th in Conference USA.
