Michigan bounced back with a road win on Wednesday night, knocking off Washington 82-72 in a game that Michigan led for over 36 minutes. It was a better effort on both ends of the court for the Wolverines, and a return closer to their non-conference form.
Here are five takeaways from the win.
1. Back to the process
The first thing that Dusty May praised in his post-game radio interview was Michigan’s ability to get back to the process that got it here in the first place.
“Throughout the season, there are ebbs and flows, and sometimes you need to be refocused. Sometimes you’re able to be to refocus yourself,” May said. “But today felt like a renewed sense of enthusiasm, of toughness and us not getting bored with the process. Our season so long that we have to focus on how difficult and not forget about how difficult each and every possession of every game is going to be.”
