2025-26 Season

Game 23: Michigan at Ohio State Recap

Michigan continued its strong play on Sunday afternoon with a 21-point win at Ohio State to take a one-game lead in the conference race.

The Wolverines led wire-to-wire, slowly pulling away in a methodical, consistent 40-minute effort that eventually forced Ohio State into submission. Michigan had eight scorers, eight players with at least one assist, and the Buckeyes were never able to cut the 10-point halftime lead to single digits, eventually folding to a series of run-out baskets down the stretch that left visiting fans chanting ‘Let’s Go Blue’ echoing in the Schottenstein Center.

Aday Mara and Yaxel Lendeborg were the stars, dominating inside and out, but the storyline that matters is that the Wolverines are starting to ramp things up again. They won a pair of top-ten games over Nebraska and Michigan State, blew out Penn State, and now hit another gear on the road at their other rivals.

It might not be the Las Vegas Wolverines yet, but Michigan is hitting its best stretch of form yet in Big Ten play.
