Five-star wing Lincoln Cosby commits to to Michigan

Michigan added a commitment from five-star wing Lincoln Cosby today, as first reported by ESPN.

Cosby was a top-10 player in the 2027 class before recently reclassifying and moving up to the 2026 class. He joins McDonald’s All-American Quinn Costello, Joseph Hartman, Marcus Moller, and Malachi Brown in Michigan’s 2026 recruiting class.

Cosby visited Michigan in October, the only reported visit he’s taken, and announced his plans to reclassify earlier this month, committing shortly after. He’s coming off of ACL surgery, per ESPN, and will still be rehabbing when he arrives on campus.

“How they utilize their big, skilled forwards with versatility,” Cosby told ESPN. “I felt like I saw myself playing and producing in that type of system.”

Cosby is rated No. 22 in the class of 2026 after his reclass, per On3 Industry Rankings. He played two years ago at Overtime Elite and is currently at Montverde Academy.

Cosby held offers from Alabama, USC, Wake Forest, Louisville, Houston, Cincinnati, Ohio State, and others.

Cosby averaged 15.2 points per game on the Pro16 circuit last summer, and the 6-foot-9 forward is known for his size and versatility.  For our subscribers, here’s an in-depth scouting reel of his play this summer on the Puma circuit:
