2025-26 Season

Game 30: Michigan at Iowa Preview

Michigan hits the road for the last time this season at Iowa (8:00 p.m., Peacock/NBCSN) with a chance to be the first Big Ten team to go undefeated on the road since the 1975-76 Indiana Hoosiers.

The Wolverines have been racking up the miles over the last month, playing seven of their last ten games away from home. A Thursday night game in Iowa City on the final week of the season, with the outright title already in the bag and a rivalry game on Sunday, might not be the juiciest spot on the schedule, but it is an interesting one as it’s Michigan’s first game without LJ Cason.

Iowa is projected as a 9 seed in most brackets and should be safely in the NCAA Tournament, but hasn’t been consistent down the stretch. The Hawkeyes have two signature home wins over Nebraska and Ohio State over the last month, but are just 2-4 in their last six and lost on Saturday at Penn State. They wrap the season up on Sunday at Nebraska, so the close isn’t getting any easier.

Iowa is ranked 23rd overall by KenPom, 32nd on offense and 34th on defense, but 7 of its 10 Big Ten wins are against teams not currently projected in the NCAA Tournament, and its best non-conference win was over Grand Canyon.
