Brakefield is a 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward who is ranked 33rd nationally, per 247 Sports Composite. Brakefield holds offers from Michigan State, Maryland, Indiana, Michigan, Louisville, Ole Miss and others. He’s receiving heavy interest from schools like Duke, Memphis, Kansas and a host of others.
He’s expected to cut his list of schools soon and Michigan is reportedly in a strong position to receive a visit.
Brakefield is a Milwaukee native who attends Huntington Prep in West Virginia.
Brakefield does a bit of everything at 6-foot-8. He can play inside or out and has been productive throughout the summer circuit. He averaged 15.9 points and six rebounds per game in Nike EYBL play. Here’s footage of Brakefield in action this summer.
