Michigan hosts Iowa on tonight (6:30 p.m., FS1) to tip-off the 2019-20 Big Ten season.
The Hawkeyes are off to a 6-2 start with recent wins over Texas Tech and Syracuse but also have an ugly black eye in the form of a blowout home loss to DePaul. Iowa checks in at 39th overall in KenPom’s current ratings, ranked 6th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 105th in adjusted defensive efficiency.
Fran McCaffery’s team handed Michigan its most lopsided regular-season loss last year, a 74-59 defeat in Iowa City, but the Wolverines got their revenge in the Big Ten Tournament with a 74-53 quarterfinal victory.
