As Michigan’s season has ridden waves, rising and falling by the way of Isaiah Livers’ injury, the Wolverines have waited patiently for Wagner’s play to click into place. What started as some struggles because of an early-season injury, forcing his first college games to come in a boiling cauldron, turned into a lingering question. Wagner played well enough, but it seemed there could be more.
