Columbia graduate transfer Mike Smith announced his commitment to Michigan today.
First and foremost, I would like to thank my amazing Lord and savior Jesus Christ, without whom none of this would be possible. I’m truly blessed and excited to officially say that I will be a Michigan Wolverine. Ann Arbor it’s demon time 🖤 #GoBlue 〽️ pic.twitter.com/cZLK7a3Xpp

Smith is a 5-foot-11 point guard who averaged 23 points, five assists and four rebounds per game last season at Columbia. He’s immediately eligible and picked the Wolverines over interest from Arizona, Gonzaga and Seton Hall.
Smith was a four-year starter at Columbia but missed the majority of his junior season due to a torn meniscus. That injury paved the way for a graduate transfer because grad students are ineligible in the Ivy League.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new Michigan point guard, including scouting reports, video, shot charts, scouting reports and more.
