Juwan Howard added his first commitment of the 2023 class today when four-star big man Papa Kante announced his pledge to Michigan.
Kante is a 6-foot-10, 215 big man who checks in as a four-star prospect ranked 108th nationally according to the 247 Sports Composite. Howard first offered Kante a scholarship in December 2021, and the big man has been the top post target on the board ever since.
Kante picked Michigan over a final five that included Maryland, Memphis, Rutgers and Pittsburgh. He visited all of his finalists and took two trips to Michigan, most recently over the weekend.
