Michigan hosts Ferris State tonight (7:00 pm, BTN-Plus) for its lone tune-up game before Monday’s season opener. The Bulldogs are coming off of a GLIAC Championship and are amidst a terrific run with six NCAA Division II Tournament appearances in the last eight years. They also haven’t quite had the chops to hang with high-major teams in exhibition games, falling by 41 points against Xavier and 34 points against Michigan State last fall.
For Michigan, it is a long-awaited look at a team that has kept things under wraps in the offseason. The Wolverines aren’t flying entirely under the radar, but preseason expectations are vastly different than they were a season ago. It’s also a team that we don’t know much about. We haven’t seen them play, and there are nine newcomers on the roster with four new projected starters.
But that all changes tonight when we get our first glimpse of the 2022-23 Wolverines. Here’s what we’ll be watching for:
