Dusty May, Danny Wolf and Vlad Goldin were in Chicago for their first Big Ten Media Day on Thursday. The new head coach with a brand new roster opted to bring his 7-foot duo to discuss early progress in practice, a hectic offseason and more.
It was the first time that May had addressed the media since practice began last week, and he’s clearly confident in his group.
“I can’t imagine us not playing in very meaningful games late in the season,” May told Gary Parrish of CBS at Media Day. “A great example is that I was just on TV, and they asked who has been a pleasant surprise, and I didn’t even mention Roddy Gayle, who has probably been our best player in practice.”
