Cool insight that Dusty was talking about mental fatigue actually being a bigger concern than physical fatigue, for Tre throughout a game. And he said they purposefully run sets with him off the ball to get him ‘rest’ without sitting him.

Yeah, he’s been doing this a lot more lately. I think it gives Tre some other ways to be involved offensively too.

I know you mentioned them getting him off the ball as different way for him to get leverage, but I had never considered that it could also be a way to rest him mentally/physically. And it sounds a little pie in the sky, but interesting nonetheless

Thought this quote was fascinating:
"It’s not like it used to be. We’re recruiting every day, but recruiting is different now. It’s keeping a pulse on what’s going on in college basketball. It’s keeping a pulse for what’s going on in junior college basketball and Division II, because there’s going to be this moment and at that moment, everything’s gonna either hold together or guys are gonna go in the other directions for a number of reasons.
“You have to be prepared financially. You have to be prepared with decisive decisions. So now, almost all of our focus is on our season. And to be honest, the more successful we are, and the better our current players play, the easier it’s going to be for us to recruit, and so that’s why we’ve really invested and continue to invest in the time in the gym with our guys.”
Really explains the roster building process in the current era quite well.

does UM basketball have a “GM” like football does?
