The Moving Screen: New Big Ten rankings, same two-horse race

The Moving Screen is a podcast collaboration with The Athletic’s Brendan Quinn. We’ll be tackling Michigan, Michigan State and Big Ten basketball at large with a blend of rational analysis and hot takes.

We recap Michigan State’s win over Purdue and look ahead to the weekend. Is Cassius Winston the favorite for Big Ten Player of the Year? Does Michigan State have anything to worry about at Penn State? What about Michigan at Illinois? Will Northwestern’s defensive tricks work against Michigan in Ann Arbor?

We wrap things up with a Big Ten Power Ranking draft that has become more difficult now that conference play has begun.

Yeah, smooth intro, Dylan does it all. One thing about having UM and MSU both be so good is that it gives only added motivation each and every night. Lose a game and you might fall behind.

Just listening to this now, on Thursday, is a reminder of how much our perception of certain teams can change with every game played. OSU loses at Rutgers and Iowa easily handles Northwestern on the road.
