Game 16: Michigan at Illinois Recap

The emotions of any given moment in a college basketball game feel monumental at the time, but there are always another 65 or so possessions that count just the same.

There were times on Thursday night that Michigan’s 79-69 win at Illinois felt chaotic. The Wolverines turned the ball over on 30% of their first half possessions, a sub 30% 3-point shooter knocked in a 3-pointer, and another triple banked in to wrap up the half.

Despite all of the noise, adjustments, Tweets, yelling and randomness, the game ended up exactly where it was supposed to. Michigan won two halves by five points a piece in a game they were favored to win by 9.5 points.
