Game 21: Ohio State at Michigan Preview

Ohio State provided the definitive low point of the last two seasons of Michigan basketball.

The Wolverines lost to the Buckeyes at home in 2016-17 and fell to 4-6 in the Big Ten before rattling off a 12-3 streak to finish the year. A year ago, John Beilein’s team arrived in Columbus in early December and opened up a 43-23 first-half lead. They scored just 19 points in the second half and suffered a 71-62 loss to fall to 7-3.

The Buckeyes and Wolverines only meet once in 2018-19 and this time it is Chris Holtmann’s team that is looking for momentum. The Buckeyes snapped a five-game losing streak on Saturday at Nebraska, but need to turn things around in a hurry if they want to make the NCAA Tournament.
