Game 28: Michigan State at Michigan Recap

Leading 51-45 with 15:42 to play, Michigan looked to be on its way to a fourth consecutive win over Michigan State.

The Wolverines were scoring 1.39 points per possession and had somehow managed to stay a step ahead of the Big Ten’s best offense.

Michigan scored 51 points in the first 37 possessions of the game; then the offense dried up.  The Wolverines only managed 9 points over the next 21 possessions while the Spartans scored 25.

By the time Michigan realized what was happening, it had already happened. The Spartans were in control and barrage of late 3-point jumpers only impacted the final margin.
