It is hard to go on the road and win in college basketball, especially against a competent opponent. It is almost impossible to win on the road without playing well.
Michigan learned that lesson for the second time in eight days on Tuesday night. It didn’t make shots, didn’t rebound and didn’t execute in Champaign. The Wolverines dropped their second game of the year, 71-62, to the Illini and had no answer inside as they were outscored 44-26 in the paint.
