Michigan let one slip away in Minneapolis on Sunday afternoon. Even without Isaiah Livers, this game was there for the taking.
The Wolverines got out to a hot start and had every opportunity to steal a win, even leading 65-64 with under four minutes to play, but unraveled down the stretch. Minnesota outscored Michigan 20-5 in the final four minutes of both halves, and those bursts proved to be the difference.
The Wolverines’ inability to stop Marcus Carr and Daniel Oturu, who combined for 51 points and 12 assists on 31 shots, meant that another masterful game by their senior point guard was for naught.
