2019-20 Season

Game 18: Penn State at Michigan Recap

Michigan’s offense had miraculously kept its head above water on offense without Isaiah Livers. The Wolverines were ranked 2nd in the Big Ten in offensive efficiency and first in effective field goal percentage despite playing four of their first six conference games on the road.

On Wednesday night, the offense sunk.

Michigan scored only .84 points per possession at home and shot 48% on twos and 18% on threes. The Wolverines made 18-of-30 shots around the basket and shot 6-of-38 from everywhere else.

Lamar Stevens took the air out of the building from the opening tip, scoring Penn State’s first seven points, and Michigan was never got back on the right foot, suffering its worst home loss in years.
