Michigan heads on the road this weekend for the first time since the calendar rolled into 2021 (Saturday, 2 p.m., ESPN2). The Wolverines dismantled Minnesota at home less than two weeks ago, but Richard Pitino’s team plays significantly better at The Barn.
The Gophers are 0-4 on the road, with their losses coming against the top four teams in the conference by an average of 19.8 points per game. At home, they’re 10-0 with quality wins over Iowa, Saint Louis, Ohio State, and a slightly less quality win over Michigan State.
Michigan is playing to remain unbeaten, extend its lead at the top of the Big Ten conference and start to make a case as a potential No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolverines have shown they are legit with three straight blowout wins over top 25 opponents, but now they need to prove they are consistent with three of their next five games on the road.
