Just 39 hours after leaving the Crisler Center following a 22-point win over Iowa, Michigan returns to action on the road at Indiana on Saturday (12:00 p.m., FOX).
The Hoosiers embody life on the bubble in late February. Every win feels like the one that might push a team into the NCAA Tournament, and every loss feels like it eliminates any postseason chance and means the head coach needs to go. Back-to-back losses to Michigan State and Rutgers, games that IU led by double digits in the first half, leave Indiana’s 2020-21 campaign on the brink of disaster.
A couple of regular-season wins and a respectable showing at the Big Ten Tournament would push Indiana into the NCAA Tournament but it’s hard to imagine that situation coming together based on how Indiana is playing and who it has to face to end the regular season.
