It’s one thing for a recruit to get comfortable with coaches’ recruiting pitches, but it’s entirely different to get a taste of a program’s culture by hanging out with its players.
When 2023 guard George Washington III visited Michigan this weekend, that’s exactly what he got. Even so, he’s still exploring his other options before making a decision on where to commit.
“It’s a really great thing when you get taken away from the coaches on a visit, you know, who genuinely like can have their hands on a lot of control over what goes on,” Washington told UM Hoops. “And you get away with the players and you still get that same feel and that same genuineness from the players.”
