It took Michigan a while to get into gear in a sleepy half-empty Barclays Center, but the Wolverines finally did and ran Pittsburgh out of the building in the second half.
After making just 2-of-11 threes in the first half, the Wolverines shot 7-of-9 from deep in the second half and turned a six-point halftime lead into a 31-point blowout.
It was the sort of early-season win that makes everyone feel a little better. Twelve Wolverines saw the floor, four reached double figures, and 11 scored. Hunter Dickinson was dominant but only had to play 25 minutes as Michigan’s reserves salted the game away with style.
