2022-23 Season

Game 17: Northwestern at Michigan Preview

After two road losses, Michigan returns to the Crisler Center to host Northwestern on Sunday (12:00 p.m., BTN) and try to stay above .500 in Big Ten play.

The Wildcats are 12-4 (3-2 Big Ten) on the year, with impressive wins over Illinois, Michigan State, and Indiana in league play. Northwestern has fallen apart in two of its four losses — by 29 points to Pittsburgh and 26 points to Ohio State — but this team is a Cam Spencer dagger 3-pointer away from being 4-1 in the league.

The Wildcats check in one spot ahead of Michigan at No. 53, according to KenPom, and are on track to be the best iteration of Northwestern hoops since Chris Collins made the NCAA Tournament in 2017.
