Michigan sophomore guard Kobe Bufkin was selected 15th in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks.
Bufkin averaged 14 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game in a breakout sophomore season.
Bufkin started his sophomore year slowly, but grew more comfortable as the season wore on and averaged 17.4 points per game over the final 12 games of the season. He’s Michigan’s second first-round pick in this draft, with Jett Howard coming off the board at No. 11.
Bufkin is the sixth player under Juwan Howard who has been selected in the NBA Draft, joining Jett Howard, Caleb Houstan, Moussa Diabate, Franz Wagner and Isaiah Livers.

Yeah Jett was hot to begin the season. Kobe didn’t come on until B1G season started. Would’ve been nice to have both playing well at the same time but alas!
