Michigan freshman wing Jett Howard was selected 11th in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic.
Howard averaged 14.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2 assists per game in his lone season at Michigan.
He got off to a terrific start in November and December, but his efficiency stagnated as the season wore on and he suffered multiple ankle injuries. Howard shot 78-of-212 (36.8%) from 3-point range as a freshman.
Howard is the 5th player who played for Juwan Howard to be drafted, joining Caleb Houstan, Moussa Diabate, Franz Wagner and Isaiah Livers.

Congrats Jett! Orlando an absolute wolverine magnet. Is that pure coincidence, or is there some sort of connection between the Magic and UM?

I will say … I wonder what Jett’s season looks like without the ankle injury. The drop off in 2P% was so staggering. Hard to say it didn’t have an impact.
Needs to grow up a lot but the skill package has always been ridiculous.
