Michigan took the Crisler Center floor for the first time this year and dispatched Northwood, 92-45, allowing the scout team to handle the final eight minutes of play.
It wasn’t a competitive game or a formidable opponent — Northwood won two Division II games last year — but it was a great opportunity to see this new-look Michigan team on the court for the first time before Tuesday’s opener.
The Wolverines had a pretty good time of it, too. Almost every player who saw the floor played well, four players reached double figures, and six made at least one 3-pointer. The ball moved and there were enough highlight dunks to go around.
The vibes were terrific and the Wolverines can officially look ahead to a tricky Tuesday night opener.
