Four-star wing Quinn Costello will visit Michigan on September 12th, as first reported by Joe Tipton.
Costello visited Purdue over the weekend and is set to see Minnesota later this week. He’s also planning an official visit to Michigan State on September 5th.
The 6-foot-10 versatile forward from the Newman School is also considering North Carolina and Texas among his list of finalists. Costello was a breakout prospect on the circuit this summer, excelling at several national camps and climbing into the top-50 nationally. He’s known most for his shooting stroke from 3-point range.
Costello is ranked as high as 28th nationally by Rivals, while ESPN has him 54th, and 247 has him at 74th.
Costello is one of six players to have confirmed an official visit date to Ann Arbor this fall — keep track of all the scheduled visits here — a list that also includes Luca Foster, Anthony Thompson, Gage Mayfield, and others.

Random observation, but Tipton seems to be the national guy getting the um recruiting scoops. Definitely seems like hes the national guy to follow for um now.

It seems like a lot of MSU fans are hoping Costello ends up elsewhere. Is there a particular reason as to why? Just curious if anyone might have any insight

They think he’s more a finesse/stretch 4 or even a big 3, and they see the prototypical Izzo guy of that size as either a very physical rebounder or a plus, plus athlete. It took them until Hauser shot 46% from 3 as a senior to warm up to him.
